Our Stay With a Chinese Family

This weekend,we had a great opportunity to stay with one of our student's family. We were all very excited to be able to spend the weekend with a real Chinese family. We were all anxious to see the difference between a Chinese family and an American family. We not only wanted to see the way they live and what they do for fun, but we were excited to spend some extra time with our student.
We stayed the weekend with one of our students,Jane.Along with her,we spent the weekend with her twin brother Joel, and their cousin Brittany.Jane and her family live two ours away in Bengbu,China. So we had the opportunity to stay with them for four days and three nights.
The family was very kind and generous to us the entire weekend. They took us out to eat at some very nice and delicious restaurants. They also fed us some of the best Chinese food we've ever had, at their home, the food was very good all weekend and we really enjoyed it.
To show us a good time, they took us out to a Chinese Disco, where we had a lof of fun dancing. On Friday, they took us to an arcade, where we were able to get all of our energy out before going to a nice relaxing spa.At the spa,we received some wonderful treatment. We got our faces washed and massaged,as well as our backs, shoulders, and arms.To our surprise, we were also given a foot and leg massage.
On Saturday, we were able to spend some time with the entire family at the park.It was fun, beingable to have an opportunity to play with the kids outside of class. We don't see them much outside of classroom. So it was nice to be able to play with them. After our fun and relaxing stroll through the park.We were able to go see some fun animals at the zoo.We all enjoyed our day at the park and zoo very much!
The home we stayed in was very nice and clean. It had a very homey feeling to it and we all felt at home during our stay there. They made us feel very welcome in their home and we are very grateful for that. They were very kind and generous the entire weekend and we will be forever grateful for their kindness.
We really enjoyed our stay with our student and her family. Our student not only had an opportunity to introduce us to her family but she was also able to practice her English as well as learn more. Our student acted as the translator between us and her family throughout the weekend. We taught our student some new words and phrases and had her review and practice the English she already knew.It was a wonderful learning and growing opportunity for all of us and by far.One experience we will never forget!
